Your Key to Palestine
The Palestinian Initiatives for The Promotoion of Global Dialogue and Democracy

Bush and Cheney the corporate tycoons elected to lead the most powerful nation are under immense pressure for "fraudulent accounting practices" which took place while these men where running some of the wealthiest companies in the world. Dick Cheney is being investigated for "deceiving investors" while he was director of the oil company Halliburton in the 1990's. Mr. Bush on the other hand is also facing questions concerning his role as director of Texas-based Harken Energy Corp, for allegedly "masking huge losses." Judicial Watch said that Mr. Bush's rush to crack down on corporate fraud seemed intended to deflect attention away from his and Mr. Cheney's own practices.

Jay Leno commented on the punishment, which is now doubled for corruption saying that now they will get "two slaps on wrist." These scandalous theft actions that were committed by the most powerful people in the world has come in a time when the economy in the US is at its lowest point. Scandals involving Arthur Anderson, Enron, WorldCom and Xerox accompanied by Cheney's promotional video recorded by the Anderson firm in which Cheney praised the now disgraced audit company.

Ironically, the above-mentioned leaders dare to speak out against corruption demanding reform, accountability and democracy from the world in general, particularly the Palestinians. Bush's call for "leaders free of corruption" should definitely include himself and his pro-Zionist vice president. It is amazing that these two men who are involved in multi-million dollar scandals have the nerve to make a call against claims of a dwarf corruption in comparison to what is going on in the US. American tax dollars are not only being spent to support the only occupation left on earth, it is being spent on the "Washington Elite" who seem to control the US and therefore the entire world. If the above mentioned leaders should gain any respect of the international world they need to be just, for only when the strongest are the most just will the world respect the US's leading role and respond affectively.

It is important to lead by example and not be overtaken by greed. To view the world as equal and not to corrupt the American people by placing them "either with or against" therefore placing great unwanted pressure. Amongst Palestinians, the average person is well aware of injustices committed by the government and are demanding a government who's actions can be affectively curbed through a system of checks and balances. These US leaders do not serve the average American righteously; because the average American is allowing the sleeping dog affect dictate prejudice-adopted policies. We call onto these 'noble leaders' to take the straw out of their eyes before pointing to the dirt in others eyes. Only then will they gain the respect of the world that views this government as an unjust, unfair and corrupt for they base policies on lobbyists and financial contributors' self interests.
