Recently, MIFTAH completed a training workshop on strategic planning based on a rights and gender justice approach in international charters. The workshop is part of MIFTAH’s project “Gender- based Violence and Women’s Empowerment” in cooperation with UNFPA . The three-day workshop hosted a team of specialized trainers. Trainer Islam Khatib tackled the issue of strategic planning based on a rights-approach. Another trainer, Khadeeja Barghouthi explained the concept of gender justice in international charters after giving a historical introduction to human rights, namely discrimination against women. Legal researcher and expert in international law Yasser Alawneh then presented a legal briefing on the legal ramifications of Palestine’s new UN status.

Twenty participants attended the workshop from various coalition institution members in Jericho, Nablus and Hebron.
