Miftah to postpone the visit of the rest of the Congressional delegation

Miftah has regretfully decided to postpone the visit of the rest of the Congressional delegation accompanying Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Stacey Plaskett to Palestine because of the unjustified and arbitrary decision of the Israeli government to ban Representatives Tlaib and Omar. We are also alarmed by the outrageous incitement by the US President against members of the US Congress and representatives of the American people. The Palestine visit will be postponed until such time that the obstacles unjustly placed to sabotage the trip are removed. Miftah also notes with indignation the libelous claims made against the organization by the office of the Israeli Prime Minister and condemns this unwarranted and irresponsible incitement. Miftah will continue to initiate dialogue and engage principled leaders in the United States and around the world who share Miftah’s values of commitment to the universality of human rights and democracy. We will not be dissuaded or intimidated.
