Palestinian officials have expressed serious concern regarding the latest round of permanent status talks with Israel. This comes in response to recent Israeli maps proposed to the Palestinian delegation outlining the possibility of redeployment from only 65% of the West Bank, and leaving most Israeli settlements under Israeli sovereignty.

Angered by this proposal, Palestinian officials referred to Israel’s maps as “insulting” and detrimental to the achievement of a framework agreement in the coming weeks, let alone a final accord in September.
