In the latest poll prepared by Dr. Nabil Kukali on Information media:

  • (70.5 %) believe that the attitude of the Spanish government towards the journalist Tayseer Allouni doesn’t agree with the interests of Spain in the Arab world.
  • (72.5 %) Trust at various degrees the polls.
  • (56.5 %) Consider Al-Jazeera as the most watched news broadcasting station. Al-Arabiyyeh scored 17.8 %.
  • (18.5 %) Consider MBC as the most watched TV-station with a variety of programs. LBC scored 15.0%.
  • (31.8 %) Consider Rotana as the most watched singing station.
  • (20.2 %) Consider Palestine TV as the most watched terrestrial station. The Jordanian TV obtained 7.5 %.

In the latest poll prepared by Dr. Nabil Kukali and conducted by the Palestinian Center for Public Opinion (PCPO) during the period from (10-14) March 2005, a random sample of (965) Palestinian adults over 18 years representing the various demographic specimen of the Palestinian people in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and Gaza Strip was interviewed. Dr. Nabil Kukali, the PCPO president said the most important thing the results of this poll reveal is that the overwhelming majority of the Palestinian people, namely (78.6 %) are interested in the polls, which are conducted in the territories of the Palestinian Authority, and even (72.5%) trust these polls. The greatest confidence in these polls with (82.5%) is coming from the inhabitants of Gaza Strip compared with (67.8%) from those of the West Bank. Comparing the results of this poll with the results of a previous poll published on (24.9.2001), Dr. Kukali said, there is a considerable rise reaching (13.2%) of the confidence of the Palestinian people in the polling centers. “The results of this poll”, Dr. Kukali added, “are boosting the centers of public opinion operating in the PA territories as to continue with their enlightening process and strengthen one of the most important principles of democracy in the PA territories which is the assessment of how much the Palestinian people are aware of the various issues of life, the guarantee of the continuous flow of information and the “measurement” of the political power of the decision-maker and his popularity. Add thereto a regular feedback from the decision-making process to the people”.
